Details of Poland’s Food Fakty Week now available

Poland’s professional food quality and safety portal, Food Fakty, will be producing a “Food Fakty Week” again this year, during the week of World Food Safety Day.

In close alignment with the goals and calls to action of World Food Safety Day and the “Four Betters” shaping the work of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the week of online events will include:

Monday 6 June

A series of presentations from the private sector, Professor Małgorzata Wiśniewska from the University of Gdańsk and a presentation in English from Mary Kenny, Food Safety & Consumer Protection Officer from FAO’s Regional Office of Europe and Central Asia. These will be followed by a Q&A session.

The day will concentrate on the World Food Safety Day slogan,"Food safety is everyone's business”

Tuesday 7 June

A series of talks on the risk of microbiological and physico-chemical contamination, followed by a Q&A session.

Wednesday 8 June

A series of talks on packaging and food standards, followed by a Q&A session.

Thursday 9 June

A series of talks on food labelling, followed by a Q&A session.

Friday 10 June

“Team up for food safety”, followed by a Q&A session.

 

Time: Sessions start at 11:00 CEST each day
