Expert Consultations

FAO has organized FRA Expert Consultations at regular intervals over the past 30 years. The Expert Consultations provide technical guidance on the scope and standards of the global assessment in order to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across countries, organizations and processes.

The eight Expert Consultation on FRA was held online, from 12 to 23 September 2022. A total of 56 experts from 24 countries and 8 organizations participated in this Expert Consultation to provide recommendations for the FRA 2025 global assessment.

The event was organized by the FAO Forestry Division in collaboration with FAO Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN).
