I am currently working on sustainable food systems through improved agronomic interventions. In the scenario of changing climate, a special focus is on developing climate-smart agronomy for small and marginal farmers for food and nutrition security and their improved livedoid. My major areas of expertise are crop diversification in rice-wheat systems in Indo-Gangetic plain zones, contingency crop planning to minimize the impact of frequent weather aberrations. Agri horti systems, are integrated farming systems for small and marginal farmers to sustainably enhance system productivity, income, and environmental safety. Also working on development of climate smart integrated framing system models for different niche areas. Deficit irrigation scheduling and efficient water management under limited water availability areas and develop climate resilient technologies in rainfed areas. Dr Sanjay Singh Rathore did his Ph.D in the year 2003 from ICAR-IARI New Delhi. Rathore has significantly contributed in the field of climate smart agronomy. Dr. Rathore has 21 years of teaching and research experience in Agronomy. Hidden cost and benefits of agri food systems is one of the very apt topic to discus in the forum. In India, though now become 2nd largest producers in agri foods but the economics always remains a bone of contention. Either to talk with direct farmers benefit or government support in terms of minimum support prices. Therefore life cycle assessment especially counting the ecosystem services involved is one of the very important parameters. Again like cosr A1, B1 , C1 and C2 are some of the important basis which needs to be talked with all minuteness involved. Proper documentation will cetialy help in further strengthening sustainability of agri-food system across the globe.
