ECOWAS Network of Parliamentarians: Learning exchange in Rwanda

The objective of the event was to support countries with the design and formulation of gender-responsive policies and investments aimed at empowering rural women and building sustainable food systems. It also included some highlights from two Rwandan field projects (good practices) and follow-up recommendations for Parliamentarians.

By establishing intra-regional policy dialogue on gender equality in agriculture through shared experiences, the members aim to enhance capacities to engage in effective legislation, policy making and awareness raising that contribute to transformative change at the regional and country levels.
