Land CHaracterization System (LCHS) Software

Land CHaracterization System (LCHS) software is a new software for editing land cover legends compliant with the latest ISO 19144-2:2023 – Land Cover Meta Language (LCML). The LCHS enables an efficient way for editing land cover legends and classes using the LCML. This tool contains all the functionality of the Land Cover Classification System version 3 (LCCSv3) with the addition of online functionality such as the integration of the FAO Land Cover Legend Registry (LCLR).

User can edit classes by directly importing land cover legends and classes from the LCLR and can exports classes and legends in. LCHS and .csv formats. Using “Wizard”, users can easily create legends.
