
The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) Plenary 2019 took place in Maputo, Mozambique, from 8 to 11 April 2019.
More than a hundred representatives from ministries, agencies, international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academia and the private sector gathered at the Cardoso Hotel in Maputo, Mozambique, for a two-day summit on forest monitoring around the world. Open forum sessions were held on Tuesday and Wednesday (9–10 April), with an additional open working session on Thursday (11 April). An exhibition space was available in the foyer during the open forum (9–10 April) for participants to display their products and engage with others during the breaks. A teleconference service was also available at this time.
