Latest Global Forest Resources Assessment provides detailed analyses for 236 countries and areas

“Building global capacity to increase transparency in the forest sector (CBIT-Forest): accelerating capacity-building, knowledge-sharing and awareness raising” is an ambitious project led by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and financed by the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) trust fund of the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

Building on its lessons learned and achievements, the second phase of CBIT-Forest is designed to enhance the quality, timeliness, accessibility and usability of forest-related data in developing countries, in line with the enhanced transparency framework (ETF) requirements of the Paris Agreement.
