Boosting transparency of forest data

youth engagement CBIT Forest IFSA

Empowering youth and academia to contribute to forest monitoring and climate action

Youth, students, and academic institutions play a vital role in advancing forest data transparency and climate action. As future scientists, policymakers, and practitioners, they will shape the development and implementation of forest monitoring systems and climate policies.

Through its collaboration with the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA)CBIT-Forest actively engages young people and academic institutions in awareness-raising, capacity development, and knowledge-sharing activities. This partnership aims to enhance access to forest monitoring knowledge resources, promote skills development, and encourage youth participation in transparency efforts.

By providing free and accessible learning opportunities, the initiative empowers young professionals and students to build expertise in forest data collection, analysis, and reporting. It also fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange across regions and disciplines, strengthening a global community committed to transparent and effective climate action.
