FAO leads international work on sustainable and circular bioeconomy through the International Sustainable Bioeconomy Working Group (ISBWG).

FAO participates in global discussions on sustainable bioeconomy as a member of the:

• International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy (IACGB)
• Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR) Bioeconomy Strategic Working Group and SCAR Food Systems Strategic Working Group
• EU-led International Bioeconomy Forum (IBF)
