DescriptionRevised prices offered under the Guaranteed Prices for Basic Foodstuffs Program (Programa precios de garantía a productos alimentarios básicos). For the 2023 spring-summer cycle and 2023-24 autumn-winter cycle, these were set at MXN 8 500 (USD 509) per tonne for smallholders cultivating up to eight hectares and for a maximum of 80 tonnes, while for other rice producers guaranteed prices were set at MXN 7 905 (USD 474 per tonne) for a maximum of 300 tonnes.
