Sugar

About our work

The FAO Markets and Trade Division collects, analyses and disseminates information on the sugar market. International price development reports and short-term forecasts of supply and utilization are published on a regular basis, alongside medium-term projections in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation Development (OECD). In addition, the Division services the Committee on Commodity Problems (CCP), which tracks the sugar market together with other agricultural commodity markets, identifies specific commodity problems and proposes international mitigation action.
