Raithaane Agri Products Nepal is an initiative led by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with decades of experience across various sectors. The initiative aims to conserve, promote and expand Indigenous agricultural products by facilitating collaboration with producers, farmers and consumers. Based in Kathmandu since 2019, Raithaane Agri Products Nepal currently collaborates with 82 groups and cooperatives nationwide. The company directly engages with farmers to ensure they receive fair value for their produce and labor. The farmers produce organic, nutritionally rich crops, with Raithaane Agri Products Nepal having collected over 350 varieties across 55 districts involving 10 000 farmers. Over the past five years, Raithaane Agri Products Nepal has closely worked with farmers and consumers to conserve, promote and support the marketing of local Himalayan agricultural products and skill-based handicrafts. The initiative has launched Raithaane Farmers Markets in the Kathmandu Valley to establish direct links between producers and consumers.
