Total LandCare Malawi is a locally registered non-government organization with an extensive track record of development experience and expertise in agriculture and natural resource management with smallholder farmers in Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania. Funding sources include USAID, the Royal Norwegian Embassy (RNE), DfID, IFAD, EU and FAO. Funding from the private sector has also been attracted to implement social responsibility programmes with corporations such as The Coca Cola Company. Core areas of expertise include sustainable, climate-smart agricultural practices; crop diversification with emphasis on grain legumes; livestock production; value-added production, processing and marketing of high value crops such as spices, oil seed crops, coffee, and macadamia; methods to improve the preparation, processing, utilization and consumption of nutritious food at the household level; and improving access to input and output markets to increase smallholder productivity and incomes at lower costs while enhancing resilience to climate change.
