On 21 March 2024, the International Day of Forests will celebrate “Forests and innovation” with a livestreamed session showcasing transformative forest innovations. Discussions will focus on how innovation and technology enhance forest monitoring, reporting, protection, restoration, and sustainable use. The need to scale up innovations to halt deforestation, and empower indigenous peoples as forest guardians, will also be explored to develop new solutions for a better world.
