A new FAO/UN Environment interagency Umbrella to support to the work of the 10YFP SFS Programme will be launched at this side event. The Umbrella will cover four multi-stakeholder core initiatives of the 10YFP SFS Programme under the leadership of FAO and UN Environment, in the following thematic areas: sustainable diets; sustainability along all food value chains; reduction of food losses and waste; and resilient, diverse and inclusive food production systems.
The objectives of the side event are:
- Launching a new interagency Umbrella to support to the work of the 10YFP Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) Programme;
- Raising awareness on the 10YFP SFS Programme as an action-oriented multi-stakeholder platform within the framework of the UN;
- Presenting the core initiatives of the 10YFP SFS Programme;
- Reaching out to new potential donors.
