Sao Tome and Principe meets MDG - 1 goal

Based on FAO’s most recent estimates, the prevalence of undernourishment in Sao Tome and Principe has dropped from 22.6% in 1990-92, to 7.7% in 2010-12 and thus the country has achieved the MDG-1 hunger target. The number of undernourished people in the country has dropped from 27 thousand in 1990-92 to 13 thousand in 2010-12 and thus the country has also achieved the WFS target.
