FAO's role in supporting the implementation of the Peace Agreement in Colombia

5 July 2017, Rome--- FAO is strongly committed to support the Colombian Government in the implementation of its Comprehensive Rural Reform, as one the main pillars of the peace process in the country. FAO and the European Union, along with Via Campesina and UNDP, have been nominated as key actors to support the Peace Agreement in Colombia. The event will discuss the content of the Comprehensive Rural Reform, the strategies to promote integrated and territorial rural development and the role of FAO and its partners in supporting the peace process, with a view to strengthening the link between peace and food security.
