The locust invasion which hit the north of Burkina since the beginning of August 2004 has affected 21000 hectares of agriculture. The most affected areas include Soum and Oudalam provinces with the most infested of 5000 hectares already treated . It is reported that even if the situation is not so alarming, it remains worrying as the locusts are at the larval stage which pose new possible invasion. According to information from government the success to fight the locust depends on sensitization of people in the country.It is also said that this can be achieved by also reinforcing teams as
