Agricultural ministers from around the world convene in Rome
4 October 2013, Rome
– Agriculture ministers from around the world will meet for the Second Ministerial Meeting on International Food Prices on Monday 7 October at FAO. The first ministerial meeting was held just one year ago, in response to spikes in international grain prices. Though progress has been made since then, there are continuing concerns around issues of food prices and market stability.
David Hallam
is Director of the Trade and Markets Division at FAO. In the following interview he reflects back on the outcomes from 2012 and explains his expectations for the upcoming ministerial meeting.
