International Symposium on Agricultural Biotechnologies, 15-17 February 2016
Hosted by FAO, the Symposium will explore how the application of science and technology, particularly agricultural biotechnologies, can benefit smallholders in developing sustainable food systems and improving nutrition in the context of climate change. In this interview, Ren Wang, Assistant Director-General, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, illustrates two practical examples. He also clarifies that biotechnologies are much more than just GMOs and explains FAO’s position on GMOs.
