Since 2010, the Investment Centre (TCI) has been strengthening its partnership with the nutrition division (ESN) in order to improve the nutrition impact of FAO investment work. Experience has shown that it is not just enough to invest in agriculture and rural development to reduce malnutrition, but that these investments should be nutrition-sensitive for them to have a greater impact. Both governments and international financing institutions (World Bank, IFAD) are increasingly sensitive to this need and increasingly request FAO’s support, which makes the partnership particularly relevant.
