Opening Ceremony.
Following resolution 6/2013 of the 38th FAO Conference, the UN General Assembly, at its 68th session declared 2016 as the International Year of Pulses (IYP). The IYP Global Dialogue will provide a forum for various stakeholders in the pulses sector, to discuss the issues and the challenges related to the production, consumption, and trade of pulses. It will also generate a set of recommendations for concrete action and follow-up beyond 2016.
