The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is pleased to invite you to the hybrid event titled ”Enabling Research, Science, and Innovation in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS)”. The event is organized in the framework of the Science and Innovation Forum 2023 for climate action.

During the session, the key topics of discussion will involve sharing experiences and insights related to enhancing access to science, research, and innovation in LMICs and SIDS. Additionally, the session will explore how science, research, and innovation can contribute to transforming food systems in these countries.

Representatives from research institutes and public administrations will also take part it the discussion on policies and measures to strengthen research and innovation capacities in the Global South.
