The CREAD (Centre for Applied Economic Research for Development) has been a public scientific and technological institution (EPST) since 2003 (Executive Decree No. 03-455 of 1 December 2003 amending and supplementing Decree No. 85-307 of 17 December 1985 establishing the Centre for Applied Economic Research for Development), under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) and with an intersectoral focus.
