Potato harvesters are used to dig potatoes from the ground and collect them. Since the 1960s, these machines have saved manual labour, for example children working on the back-breaking task of manually picking up the potatoes. This is an example of how sustainable mechanization can support the agrifood chains, from production to post-harvest operations.
