Second edition of the online Round Table on the role of AGROVOC in the agricultural information ecosystem

The Republican Scientific Agricultural Library of the State Agrarian University of Moldova, in collaboration with FAO, is organizing a round table on Tuesday, 8 June, 2021, 10:00 a.m EEST.

The second part of the roundtable will be dedicated to AGROVOC and will focus on facilitating access to Romanian agricultural scientific terminology in the context of AGROVOC trends and evolutions in organizing knowledge for agricultural data discovery, in creation and management of Linked Open Data. 

The event will provide information about the role of the AGROVOC thesaurus in research, education and in accessing agricultural information and data; languages and areas covered by the thesaurus; the alignments of AGROVOC with other controlled thesauri and vocabularies; integration of Romanian agricultural terminology in AGROVOC.

The AGROVOC directory will be also launched on the library website with information about the AGROVOC thesaurus, AGROVOC activities in the Republic of Moldova, and AGROVOC publications in Romanian.
