Virtual Business Roundtable for Agrifood Chains in Latin America and the Caribbean (14th edition)
Virtual Event, 05/10/2026 - 09/10/2026
Background
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in partnership with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), and the Executive Secretariat of the Agricultural Council (SE-CAC), have developed an agenda to promote regional and international trade in the agri-food sector, aiming to contribute to food security with a focus on sustainability in the region.
In that context, the Virtual Business Roundtable for Agrifood Chains in Latin America and the Caribbean was launched in 2020. To date, 13 editions of this trade event have been held, involving more than 6,700 MSMEs, cooperatives, family farming enterprises, and purchasing companies from the region, Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Results to date show that these events have generated business intentions totaling nearly USD 325 million, enabling participants to establish commercial ties and networks and gain a foothold in new markets.
The 14th Virtual Business Roundtable for Agrifood Chains in Latin America and the Caribbean will take place from October 5 to 9, 2026, for companies across the agri-food supply chain—highlighting food suppliers and buyers, as well as support services that facilitate production and commercialization. As in previous editions, the Virtual Business Matchmaking event will be held in a free digital environment.
