Animal health

Lumpy skin disease prevention and control – Part 2

Originally confined to sub-Saharan Africa, LSD has progressively spread to new regions since 2000, raising growing concerns for animal health. Affecting cattle and water buffalo, the disease can cause substantial economic losses through reduced productivity, trade restrictions and disruptions to livestock value chains, with serious implications for livelihoods and food security.

This webinar series will bring together leading international experts to address key topics including LSD epidemiology and surveillance, vector transmission and control, outbreak detection and rapid response, vaccination strategies, and genomic surveillance, while sharing lessons learned from recent outbreaks and control efforts.
