Animal diseases

Animal diseases threaten food security, livelihoods, biodiversity, trade and public health, with impacts that extend far beyond the livestock sector. Through a One Health approach, FAO works with countries and partners to prevent, detect and respond to animal diseases by strengthening surveillance, early warning, preparedness and response, while supporting resilient animal health systems and sustainable livestock production.
