The meeting aims to strengthen political commitment in tackling AMR, taking note of progress, recommitting to actions and ensuring that addressing AMR is a key factor in plans preparing for future pandemics. Specifically, the meeting seeks to address the following objectives: i) to tack stock of the progress in implementing the NAP on AMR ii) assess the challenges encountered during the implementation of the NAP  and ensure that AMR is firmly embedded in the political agenda. iii) to come up with recommendations and further multi-sectoral practical actions that can effectively address the challenges for tackling AMR in Egypt through the One Health approach, while supporting the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals.
