FAO at the Aquarama Trade Fair

The Aquarama Trade Fair and Conference on Water Technology, which took place in Leuven on 19 October, had about 1250 visitors visit 127 exhibitors presenting the latest in water technologies.

The Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization’s Brussels Liaison Office, Raschad Al-Khafaji delivered a keynote speech at the opening of the ‘Watercircle’ workshop that was dedicated to sustainable water management in the food and chemical sector.

In his video message, the Director emphasized the urgent need for effective water management and noted that fostering collaborations and establishing solid partnerships were fundamental steps in this process. He added that relevant authorities need to actively engage with researchers, businesses, and civil society, working together to create sustainable solutions that ensure water security for future generations.
