As the world gears up for the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP28, in a year with soaring temperatures and progressive extreme weather events, attention is turning towards innovative solutions to address the climate crisis.

Forty-five agriculture experts from 35 countries and the European Union gathered in Rome from the 31st of October to the 2nd of November to exchange ideas on next steps for the Sharm el-Sheikh joint work on implementation of climate action on agriculture and food security.

FAO has joined hands with partners to launch the Facility for Action for Climate Empowerment to achieve Nationally Determined Contributions (FACE-NDC) project. The project partners include the Copperbelt University, the University of Zambia, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
