Against the predicted below-average rainfall for the March-April-May 2025 season, with 3.7 million people at risk, FAO implemented an anticipatory drought mitigation project targeting 56,500 households and over 4.5 million livestock using USD 1.26 million in funding from the Government of Sweden. An achievement – assets saved, milk production increased, and coping mechanisms improved.
