لجنة التنسيق للدستور الغذائي في آسيا - المنسق الإقليمي االصين
تأسست لجنة التنسيق لهيئة الدستور الغذائي في آسيا في الاجتماع الحادي عشر لهيئة الدستور الغذائي الذي عقد في روما، إيطاليا، في تموز/ يوليو 1976. وتم عقد اجتماعها الأول في نيودلهي (الهند) في كانون الثاني/ يناير 1977.
ويعمل المنسق الإقليمي من داخل المركز الوطني الصيني لتقييم مخاطر سلامة الأغذية.
وتشمل الأولويات الرئيسية للصين كمنسق تعزيز المشاركة في اجتماعات هيئة الدستور الغذائي، ودعم تحديد أولويات عمل الهيئة في المنطقة، وتحسين تنسيق مواصفات سلامة الأغذية وتسريع تنشيط لجنة التنسيق من خلال تبادل المعلومات وتقديم تحديثات منتظمة حول قضايا سلامة الأغذية ضمن المنطقة.
كما ترغب الصين أيضا في تعزيز التعاون مع منظمات المراقبة وتحسين التواصل الكفوء والفعال بين الأعضاء الإقليميين ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة ومنظمة الصحة العالمية وأمانة هيئة الدستور الغذائي.

Food safety is everyone’s business “even yours and mine”
The words of Ojasvini Naik, at aged eight India’s youngest food safety ambassador and a young girl with both a passion and a mission, who is already a veteran of food safety messaging. At just aged 6 Ojasvini learnt through participating with her Mother in food safety training for food handlers that children her age carry the burden of foodborne disease with 125 000 deaths per year according to WHO.

Japan celebrates World Food Safety Day and delivers key COVID-19 information for the public
Japan celebrates the World Food Safety Day. The Japanese government (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) posts a message of “Food safety, everyone's business” on social media to bring the attention of the public. An exciting Food Safety publicity and educational programme for the second World Food Safety Day was held by Department of Food Science and Nutrition of Zhejiang University on 29-31 May 2020. Food additives committee supporting innovation whilst maintaining core values
Many of the Codex technical committees are exploring how to continue working on specific topics in the absence of physical meetings without losing an entire year. Cambodia workshop / Enhancing participation in Codex
To strengthen Cambodia’s capacity for better and more effective participation in Codex work, FAO in collaboration with the General Directorate of CAMCONTROL, Ministry of Commerce organized a training workshop from 18- 20 February 2020. Gyanendra Gongal appointed WHO Regional Adviser for food safety in South-East Asia
Gyanendra Gongal, from Nepal, has recently been appointed WHO Regional Adviser for food safety in the WHO Regional Office for South East Asia (SEARO), the first time in two decades, in his words, that someone will be working full time on food safety in the region.
His new role involves providing technical leadership, supporting the Codex Trust Fund (CTF), and working on policy advocacy, Codex, risk assessment, food safety emergency and INFOSAN activities.

Codex discussing the future of food safety at Beijing CIFSQ Conference
The China International Food Safety & Quality (CIFSQ) Conference is currently underway in Beijing, China 30 to 31 October 2019. CIFSQ brings together 700 regulators, scientists, industry executives, and academics to share insights on food safety and protecting public health. Bhutan strengthening participation in Codex
