World Food Safety Day guide now available in Korean

05/05/2023

A Korean language version of the World Food Safety Day guide has now been added to those already available in all six official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish). The guide, which was translated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea, has been published with over a month to go before World Food Safety Day on 7 June and ahead of the 22nd annual Food Safety Week in the Republic of Korea, which takes place in May.

Further translations of the World Food Safety Day guide are in the pipeline, as well as multiple language versions of the World Food Safety Day poster. All World Food Safety Day materials are translated at least into the six official UN languages.

World Food Safety Day is being celebrated this year with the theme “Food Standards save lives”, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Codex Alimentarius Commission. Campaign organizers have already seen a lot of interest from people all over the world who are planning events that explore the importance of food standards.
