Global food company celebrates World Food Safety Day across the world

On 7 June the global food company, Danone, celebrated World Food Safety Day together with their “Danoners” across the globe.

To address to this year’s theme, Food Standards Save Lives, the company organized multiple celebration events within Danone, sharing the knowledge and best practices on how Danone food safety standards are defined and implemented worldwide cross the whole value chain by their internal experts.

Isabelle Esser, Chief of Research and Innovation and Quality and Food Safety Officer highlighted that every day should be a Food Safety Day.

According to Danone, their standards are developed based on the latest science and recognized international standards - such as Codex Alimentarius - and industrial best practices. They are implemented at each step of the value chain by all Danoners, from innovation, to sourcing, manufacturing and ultimately to their consumers and patients.
