NATIONAL FOCAL POINTS

Recognizing their government's commitment towards SIPAM activities carried out under the auspices of the GFCM, the SIPAM national focal points should perform the following duties:

ensure the statistical data submission to the GFCM through the SIPAM online platform according to Recommendation GFCM/41/2018/1 on reporting of aquaculture data and information;
coordinate at the national level data flow of aquaculture information between their government and the GFCM;
in line with relevant GFCM rules regarding the attendance to statutory meetings, represent the SIPAM network during the relevant GFCM meetings on aquaculture;
cooperate with the GFCM Secretariat to exchange aquaculture data at the regional level.
