About the event

Organized by the Land and Water Division of FAO in collaboration with the University of Florence (UNIFI), this Master Class addresses the importance of water harvesting for improved agrifood systems and increased food production. Lessons describe the main features of sand dams and their important functions as water reservoirs for collecting and harvesting water resources. Other topics covered include a comprehensive analysis of local-scale and traditional practices that are important in water-scarce contexts.
