About the event
In a global context of water scarcity in which the effects of climate change and its impact on sectors such as agriculture are becoming visible, it is essential to have sustainable water management practices. In recent years, the field of water resources in agriculture is exploring new approaches and tools to face the current and future challenges across the planet, but especially in arid and semi-arid regions where there is strong competition among the different water-demanding sectors.
Organized by the University of Cordoba in collaboration with FAO, the Virtual Field Day (VFD) presents the main challenges of water management in agriculture under water scarcity scenarios and discusses successful strategies to address them.
