E-nugget n. 12 – Irrigation Asset Management

The Land and Water division is organizing an e-nugget training on Irrigation Asset Management. The training will present asset management systems (within and related to the irrigation sector), address the relationship between institutional and financial sustainability and illustrate the water-energy nexus.

The training will focus on the following topics:

• Introduction to asset management in the agricultural secto;
• Institutional and financial sustainability and the water-energy nexu;
• Design and implementation of centralized asset management in smallholder schemes: A case study from Lebanon.

The training will be delivered by Maher Salman and Eva Pek (FAO Land and Water Division) and Hala Al Hamed (Islamic Development Bank), in English with French subtitles.
