The EU-STREIT PNG’s partners and stakeholder emphasize sustainable rural development and technology use in Sepik, aiming to boost agriculture and entrepreneurship in East and West Sepik provinces.

In an empowering leap forward, Sepik agripreneurs in Papua New Guinea, supported by ITU under the EU-STREIT PNG initiative, have transcended digital divides, launching their very own online marketplace platforms. This marks a pivotal shift from traditional agriculture to a digital frontier, enhancing their market reach and economic prosperity.

In Papua New Guinea's remote Osima Village, the EU-STREIT PNG Programme transforms lives through cocoa farming, market access, gender & youth inclusion, and infrastructure development, fostering economic growth and sustainable community empowerment. 

FAO, in collaboration with UNCDF, equips 10 banking access points in the Sepik region of Papua New Guinea with a solar energy solution, ensuring the provision of financial services to remote areas suffering from inconsistent electricity.

The FAO, under the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, is developing the cocoa industry in Papua New Guinea's Sepik region, empowering local farmers to connect their premium cocoa with high-value overseas markets.  

FAO, under EU-STREIT PNG, supports Sepik vanilla farmers with innovative eco-friendly solar dryers, ensuring quality  and uniformity in vanilla production.  

International Telecommunication Union (ITU), under the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, started a policy development deliberation to map a course towards strengthened digital inclusion and economic growth in the Sepik region of Papua New Guinea.
