Under the EU-STREIT PNG, FAO equips local entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills and practical tools needed to drive inclusive, sustainable development for MSMEs in the Sepik region.

Thanks to community unity, international support by FAO, and visionary leadership, 9,000+ people of Hambini Village not only took a path to improve their economic prospects using cocoa but also paved the way for a brighter, healthier, and more prosperous future for their children. 

International Labour Organization, under the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, organised an intensive capacity-development training for government officers and private contractors to improve the quality and efficiency of transport infrastructure project management in the country.

The FAO-led EU-STREIT PNG Programme provided 107 fish farming households with quality fish farming inputs, to improve the quality and quantity of fish production, increase income and enrich the nutrition of inland rural communities in the Sepik region.

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), under the EU-STREIT PNG Programme, established four pioneering Resource Centres in West and East Sepik provinces, ushering in a new era of digital empowerment for local farmers.
