EU-funded STREIT Programme commenced infrastructure works to establish a cocoa and vanilla export depot and rehabilitate two more farm-to-market roads in the Sepik region of Papua New Guinea.

FAO-led EU-STREIT PNG provides 60,000 healthy vanilla cuttings from selected disease-free zones to increase production and improve quality of vanilla to support rural farming communities who depend on this crop for their income and wellbeing. 
Fish farmers received quality fingerlings distributed by the FAO-led EU-STREIT PNG Programme in the Sepik region of Papua New Guinea.

The FAO-led EU-STREIT PNG Programme delivered 20,000 Tilapia fingerlings to 927 inland fish farmers, as part of its intervention to improve fish quality and quantity production, higher income generation and enriched dietary nutrition of rural communities in Papua New Guinea. The provision of fingerlings followed the intensive capacity building of fisherfolks and communities in the Sepik region.
