The National Gender Profile of Agricultural and Rural Livelihoods is part of the project GCP/SEC/008/TUR, which contributes to the Regional Initiative 1 for the REU Region and to the SO3 by improving knowledge for evidence-based policies. The purpose of the National Gender Profile of Agricultural and Rural Livelihoods - Turkey is to contribute to the production of knowledge for better informed, targeted and gender sensitive actions in agriculture and rural development. 

Bu Ulusal Toplumsal Cinsiyet Profili, toplumsal cinsiyet ve tarımla ilgili cinsiyet temelinde ayrıştırılmış verilerin üretim ve analizini geliştirmek amacıyla yapılan bir bölgesel proje kapsamında geliştirilmiştir. Bu nedenle, bu raporun ana görevi, tarımsal eşitsizliklere odaklanarak, kırsal alanda toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizlikleri ile kırsaldaki kadınların durumuna ışık tutacak birkaç boyutta nicel verileri derlemektir.

This publication is produced under the “Strengthening national capacities for production and analysis of sexdisaggregated data through the implementation of the FAO Gender and Agriculture Framework (GASF)” project, funded by the FAO / Turkey Partnership Programme (FTPP). The purpose of this national gender profile was to collect and compile available data and information from diverse sources in order to shed light on gender disparities in rural settings and the status of rural women across a number of dimensions, with a focus on inequalities in agricultural employment.

This publication represents a synthesis of assessments of national agricultural innovation systems in countries of Central Asia, South Caucasus and Turkey. The first chapter gives an introduction of the project “Capacity Development for Analysis and Strengthening of Agricultural Innovation Systems in Central Asia and Turkey”, out of which the current publication reports about one of the project outputs achieved. The second chapter describes the institutional landscape of the agricultural innovat ion systems, innovation pattern, and processes of innovation based on 14 selected case studies in these countries.
