In Pakistan, FAO is conducting the TAP-AIS project in partnership with the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, which in late 2020 signed the project document on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. The 3-year project aims to strengthen the agricultural innovation system (AIS) of the country. This will be done via an assessment of the AIS in year one that involve dialogue with stakeholders from local to national levels. The results will guide the project’s capacity development phase in years two and three, which will capacitate a small number of key organisations in the innovation system and engage in policy dialogue to improve conditions for agricultural innovation in Pakistan.
