FAO ECTAD Indonesia has successfully conducted various activities with the Government of Indonesia under the Emerging Pandemic Threats Phase Two (EPT-2) Programme. The Newsletter Vol. 3/April - July 2017 highlights main activities conducted during the second year of the EPT-2 Programme, such as USAID and Ministry of Human Development and Culture's Strategic Meeting, and a launching of FETPV in Indonesia.

Di bawah Program Emerging Pandemic Threats Two (EPT-2) FAO ECTAD Indonesia telah berhasil melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan bersama dengan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia. Berita berkala (newsletter) Vol. 2/Desember 2016 – Maret 2017 menyoroti kegiatan-kegiatan utama yang dilaksanakan selama tahun kedua Program EPT-2, seperti permulaan/peluncuran Program di Indonesia dan sebuah cerita mengenai daerah-daerah percontohan untuk [pelaksanaan program] pendekatan OH di Indonesia.

Laporan Tahunan FAO Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Disease (ECTAD) Indonesia 2018 memaparkan resume komprehensif dan pencapaian dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian terhadap penyaki-penyakit dari hewan yang menular pada manusia (zoonosis) dan Penyakit Infeksi Baru atau Berulang (PIB).

FAO ECTAD Indonesia Annual Report 2018 will presents FAO ECTAD achievements, resume of activities, and some stories from the field. Some news to be highlighted are progress of deer surveillance, New Challenge Strains for AI H5N1 local vaccine production, Increase community welfare through the use of village funds, Duck study result, Definition of AMR on boriler farmers survey, etc.

As part of the USAID Emerging Pandemic Threats 2 (EPT2) programme, FAO works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to build greater capacity to address emerging infectious diseases and zoonoses.

In 2012 the FAO ECTAD Programme in indonesia was primarily funded by the USAID and the Australian Agency For International Development (AUSAID), with funding for the ECTAD laboratory component and the DGLAHS Influenza Virus Monitoring (IVM) system from the IDENTIFY project of the USAID Emerging Pandemic Threats Programme.

2008

The poultry industry is one of the key areas of Indonesia’s agriculture and supports a large domestic market in poultry and poultry products. Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) remains a major threat to poultry and communities in Indonesia. Since it was firstdetected in poultry in 2003, millions of poultry have died due to HPAI or been depopulated during control activities.
