The growing use of recycled plastic in food packaging and other food contact materials offers clear environmental benefits but also raises crucial chemical safety concerns that underscore the need for discussion on globally harmonized standards, according to a new report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

In this context, funding from RHPF will support an emergency humanitarian response aimed at saving lives by rapidly reducing acute food insecurity.

The benchmark of world food commodity prices rose in April for a third consecutive month amid elevated energy costs and disruptions caused by the conflict in the Near East, according to the latest release by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
