The library offers briefings and training sessions to all FAO employees.
Sessions cover topics such as exploring the FAO Library Discovery search interface or more in-depth topics like how to effectively use online resources, execute literature searches, use bibliographic referencing software, set-up subject alerts and analyse bibliometrics. For more information look at the Library's Research guides.
FAO staff may obtain publications (PDFs) through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at no cost. This includes e-journal articles and e-book chapters which are not covered by library subscriptions.
All ILL requests are channelled through the CLIO app. Only the first time you access the app, you will be asked to leave some minimal registration data, from then on you will be recognized automatically. Once inside CLIO simply fill in the Journal article or Book chapter request form (Under Requests in the main menu) and you will receive the PDF as soon as possible.
