This global project promotes the realization of the right to adequate food by strengthening its integration into policies, governance processes and food systems transformation. It supports countries and global processes through a human rights-based approach, with a focus on inclusion, equality and structural drivers of food insecurity.

Main activities

The project supports the integration of the right to food into national policies and global processes by developing methodologies, policy analyses and evidence to guide inclusive and rights-based decision-making. It strengthens alignment between global, regional and national frameworks and promotes the inclusion of vulnerable groups in food systems transformation.

It also enhances monitoring, accountability and access to justice through capacity development, legal and policy support, and the creation of tools such as indicators, jurisprudence repositories and reporting systems. These efforts are complemented by policy dialogues, training and partnerships to strengthen participation, transparency and institutional accountability.
