El Plan de acción para 2026-29 con el fin de aplicar la Estrategia de la FAO para la ciencia y la innovación orienta la aplicación de la Estrategia. Proporciona un marco común para la acción de la FAO en los planos nacional, subregional, regional y mundial. El Plan de acción para 2026-29 es una actualización del Plan de acción inicial establecido para el período 2022-25.

La Estrategia tiene como objetivo fortalecer la labor de la FAO en lo que respecta a la ciencia y la innovación proporcionando orientación, coherencia y armonización en toda la Organización en relación con estos dos ámbitos. La ciencia y la innovación sirven de fundamento del Marco estratégico de la FAO para 2022-2031 y tienen una pertinencia intersectorial para todo el programa de trabajo de la Organización.

FAO and CARE USA collaborated in conducting a gender stocktaking exercise to enhance understanding of gender equality integration within Farmer Field School (FFS) programmes. The primary objective of this exercise was to better understand the extent to which FFS have addressed the different needs of men and women in their design and implementation and what further steps are required to advance gender-transformative results for both men and women
